The 2nd graders began the year with a quick lesson on line, movement, & organic shapes.
After they all worked together to cover their canvas with a variety of lines that showed movement, found all of the organic shapes that were made from the overlapping lines.
We worked thoroughly to make sure we didn't leave any white space. It was hard work, but in the words of a student, "it was good hard work because it was like fun not work."
